Starting to fall off the train a little. Notice that since I started training again and trying to lose about 10lbs that my beer drinking has taken a little bit of a hit. No worries, there is still 11 more months.
Tonight we hit up a local restaurant Yak and Yeti that also brews their own beers. I had the Himalayan IPA (photo below) and Namaste Pilsner. Both were disappointing.

Beer 38
After catching the flu last Sunday I am finally starting to feel normal again today. So when out for dinner tonight after hockey figured why the hell not get this going again. Ordered the HopStock IPA at BJs Brewhouse and was disappointed.

Beers 31-37
Spent the weekend in Taos New Mexico for a hockey tournament. Spent most of the weekend drinking beers with the other parents. The 3 photos below are new beers that I bummed off other people. I also hit up 4 new beers from Taos Mesa Brewery but forgot my phone so I did not get a photo of those. Mix in all the Margs and Bloody Mary's I drank and this was quite the weekend.

Beer 27
This is the second beer from Flying Dog that I am unimpressed with. Seems watered down to me. Maybe that is the style for the East Coast, watered down and knock offs. Heading to Taos NM tomorrow so hopefully will be drinking some good new brews down there the next 5 days.

Beer 26
What my damn Malamute has been doing today and plus there is a photo of him on the bottle, how could I not try that brew? Not a fan of Weisse Bier brew but I must say this is one of the better ones. This is the second brew I have had from Grand Teton Brewery and they have out done themselves so far.

Stopped by Fate Brewery after my run up Green Mountain in Boulder today and got a couple more new ones. And of course added some more watching football in the evening. Getting on a roll right now.
Fate Coffee Kolsch
Fate Chocolate Mint Stout
Beers 15-19
Big beer night knocking out some new beers. We were at my mother in laws 70th birthday party and I made sure I had at least one of every type of beer she had there with scotch in between. The Green Flash beer I brought for myself.

Beer 8
Just sounded good today. Need to go to Superior Liquors where they sell singles of about every beer they carry. The liquor store by the house is not going to cut it for this challenge.

Beer 7
Switching the post names from Days to Beer since this is really about drinking 365 different beers and not so much just one per day.
Anyways did not feel like leaving the house today with the snow to drive to a brewery or the liquor store so I tapped into what I had in the fridge.
Not great but works for today. Tomato juice is good for recovery right? Need all the help I can get since I started "training" again this week. Hope this Saints/Eagle game is as good as the Colts/Chiefs game that just got over.

Day Three
Had to stop by Crystal Springs Brewery which is only a few blocks from work when I got off tonight because I saw on their Facebook page that the chili beer was back on tap. Now I am not a fan of chili beers at all but figured what the hell, it is something different and that is what this challenge is all about right? Well this chili beer called Solano did not disappoint! A must have especially if you are a chili beer fan.

Day Two
Decided to have one of my favorites for day 2. Happy Camper IPA. Out of different beers in the fridge that is different so will be going to the store tomorrow.
And the one that my wife bought me. Think she is trying to tell me something? 5 down, 360 to go.

Day One
HAPPY NEW YEARS!
I kicked off the year of beer challenge today with 3 beers. I meet GZ and tried to pick a new beer from a brewery that I have not been to before to start the challenge. I choose the English Pale Ale (EPA) from a brewery that just opened down the street called Westminster Brewery, http://westminsterbrewingco.com/. It was ok but it was not a true IPA. I rated average or 3. I will be back to try the rest of the beers they make for this challenge.
I then I finished off the afternoon with two local Colorado classics that are hard to beat. Hell I give Fat Tire credit for being one of the big players in making Colorado Breweries what it is today. Here is to many more beers this year.
